Sharie Just turned One!

Oh how time flies! It wasn't just too long ago when I gave birth to my second child Sharie. And now, she just turned one last friday November 6! I had a blast preparing for her party. Decided to make the give aways myself with the help of my mom and tita Meg.We sort of had an assembly line like in factories! LOL! I also made a cake decor from round chipboard boxes and altered it, and put Sharie's pictures from 1month old to 1 year.I also placed it on a rotating tray so visitors can just turn it to view Sharie's pictures. here's what I came up with:







Decided also not to use the common pink motif for little girls and instead added orange and apple green to the motif!

Yup! she's eleven months old! Oh how time flies. My baby is now a little girl! So beautiful....... so charming!

This is a very simple layout yet I love the final outcome. No pps were used. just black and white card stock and a metal frame from MM. Used my lace border puncher for added look. No journaling too coz my title and pics speaks for itself. Again TFL!

Beautiful!

Made this layout for Creative Scrappers Sketch No.70. I finally had the chance to use my Websters Pages PPS. I had fun cutting the gorgeous flower designs including the bird cage which is just soooo beautiful! Hope you ladies like my take on the sketch! TFL!

My Joy

My DH and two kids are my greatest treasures in life. I just love taking pictures of them together especially when I see my kids embrace and hug each other. So when sketch 68 at Creative Scrapper was sent to me I immediately knew what pictures to scrap. Here's sketch 68 and my layout. TFL!

On the Go!

At 7 to 8 months my DD Sharie, started to crawl! she totally loved the freedom to explore her surroundings. As usual mommy enjoyed taking pictures!LOL! So when my second DT sketch at Creative scrappers came up, I immediately knew what pictures to use. Here's Sketch 66 by Karan Gerber and my take on the sketch. TFL!

I used Fancy Pants Aged florals PPS for this Layout and as usual my fave technique- Hand cutting!

Two New Layouts!

Thanks goodness I finally had time to scrap this week! I have been busy lately with work that my hands are now really itchy to get hold of my scissors and craft Knife! Here's what I came up with.

For this page, I did some masking. TFL!





This is our official family picture for the year. I had some difficulty conceptualizing this layout because my picture is quite large.You see my husband didn't want me to use a smaller sized picture so I was stuck with this. But I'm happy with the outcome of this page. And I was also able to finally use my webster Pages PPS! Yipee!

This is the layout I submitted for Creative Scrappers' DESIGN TEAM CALL. Aside from being my Lucky Page (Coz I was chosen by CS as one of their DTs),this page is also very precious to me. My heart simply sings when I look at the picture. I can feel the love of my DD for me just by staring at this page!

Made this page for the PINK PAISLEE CHALLENGE last month at Create my Keepsake. I didn't win but I loved how this page turned out.

Lastly, This third layout is based on a sketch by Becky Fleck at Page Maps. Made this a few months back but failed to upload. Its a picture of my DD Sharie when she had her ear piercing done by Ninang Chiqui Gutierrez! All the other scrapaholics God parents were also present during the said event to give moral support and to document the event! Special thanks to Liezl for taking the pictures!

I used my Scenic Route Sonoma line for this page. I also decided to turn the sketch around to give it a different look.

First DT Stint!

Yup! I made it as one of Creative Scrappers Design Team! Yipee! Ooooooh Up to now I'm still on high and trying to pinch myself if this is just a dream! When Kristine of Creative Scrappers called for new DT members, I thought I'd give it a try. Ever since I discovered their site last January, I have been an avid fan of their sketches!This is my first DT stint and I'm so excited to be working with so many talented scrappers! Thanks Kristine for this wonderful oppurtunity! I am likewise thrilled that a fellow filipina Mia Castrillo is also part of the team!

Sketchaholic Me!

Ever Since I discovered a couple of sketch blogs this year, I got totally hooked! I'm officially now a fan of a lot of these sketch blogs like Creative Scrappers, 52sketches52weeks, Inspired blueprints, Pagemaps and a lot more! I'm really loving all these fantastic sketches because it made me scrap fast and finish more layouts than last year.

PAGEMAPS Entry

Its my first time to join a challenge at PAGEMAPS. But I loved this Sketch of becky plus I fell in love with the prize that awaits the winner so I thought I'd give it a shot. Here's the sketch followed by my take on the sketch:





Journaling:
- Smiles that melts your heart
- Once upon a time, there was a lovely little princess and she had her Daddy
wrapped around her little finger. Secretly, he didn't mind at all.

I used the photos of my husband Ryan and DD Sharie who were "goofin' around" while I had fun taking pictures of the two. Just love seeing them bonding together and having fun! Sharie is truly a Daddy's Girl! I used Fancy Pants and DCWV PPS. Did some stitching and punch out also the strip of PP as an add on design to the paper. TFL!

My Little Attic Challenge Entry

It's been a while since Nenette of My Little Attic had a challenge. So when she finally had one I couldn't miss it for the world. Actually the challenge is quite difficult. For one I would be scrapping about me since the theme was " A day in my life". I always have a hard time making layouts about myself. Second we had to use different brands of pps! And to top it all, we had to make our own embellishment and do at least 2 types of distressing technique. Definitely a challenge right? Well here's what I came up with.....



I used BG Urban Prarie and several old Fancy Pants PPS. For my homemade embellishment I made a tree out of PPS. Had this picture also of me sitting and relaxing on a bench during one of my trips to Beijing but I decided to cut it out so it would seem that I'm relaxing under the tree.Its my first time also to used a corrugated board as my base paper. All in all I had fun creating this page! Thanks for the challenge nette!
