Sweet Girl - Let's Get Shabby Challenge 16!

Ever since I gave birth to my DD I kind of experimented on doing shabby chic layouts and totally loved it! So when I found this new site called LET'S GET SHABBY I was amazed by the beautiful work of their DT's! And they have challenges Too! So I thought I'd give it a try....

Challenge 16 is first to choose one of two kitchens then use 3 of the colors in that kitchen as the dominant colors in the layout and also you have to use 1 fabric and 2 diecut shapes. I chose Kitchen 2 and here's what I came up with! TFL!

Kitchen No. 2

Chose the colors light pink, Dark Pink and green as my dominant colors for this page. Did some stamping too. I recently bought this Dusty Attic Laser chicken wire chipboard and I didn't want to use it only for 1 layout. So what I did was I used it as a stamp using brown paint. And it turned out great! LOL! For the diecut shapes, I used 2 sizes of butteflies.

For the fabric, I first sprayed it with pink shimmerz mist then placed twigs, flowers and stamen at the center and rolled it up forming a bouquet. This by the way was inspired by one tutorial that Master Iris Babao Uy did! Thanks Iris!

Here are some close ups of my layout!

Materials used:
Papers- Shabby Green Door for the base and my scraps from Prima, Websters Pages, green CS
Flowers- Prima
Daisy D's Journaling cards
Chipboards- All about Scrapbooking, Dusty attic (as stamp)
Local lace ribbon and fabric

Found this new Site called SCRAP THAT BABY and they have awesome challenges so I thought I'd Join in! This week's challenge is to create a layout featuring one of your favorite teeny tiny baby parts! Well I chose my DD's feet. The first layout is when she was only one week old and the second was when she was already 5 months old playing footsies! TFL!
