Chiqui recently posted a challenge at creative scrappers. Her challenge was to scrap a layout using black and white as the dominant colors, and the twist is, you have to use an additional color as accent. No specific theme required, you can scrap whatever you like.
I haven't done a black and white page yet so I decided to give it a try. Here's my entry:
Journaling Reads:

Fun with Sketches and Scraplifts
Lately I've been enjoying scraplifting and doing the sketches at Creative Scrappers . Their sketches are fun to do and this is just what I need to get more layouts done! True enough last week I finished four pages, 2 from C-S Sketches and two were scraplifts from my Idol Iris Uy!
Here's my take of Sketch 37 and Sketch 38:
This is the first page I submitted and I got lucky for it was chosen as the LOTD for february 17! Yipee! LUCKY CUTIE!
For this page I used my old stash of Chatterbox PPS and MME journaling cards!
For sketch 38 I used my BG Cupcake PPS to make a page for my son Gian when he turned four years old. Here's my take.
Journaling: Always remember to celebrate who you are. It's what makes you UNIQUE!
These next 2 pages were scraplifted from 2 layouts of our master and idol Iris Uy, which I really loved! Thanks Iris for the inspiration!
Journaling: My dearest Sharie, You're such a sweet and adorable baby. You never fail to put a smile on Mommy's face. And Like the lyrics of the song "YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE", you make me happy when skies are gray! I love You! - Mommy
Materials used: Fancy pants and Pink Paisley PPS
Journaling: As the months go by, you seem to forget how jealous you were when baby Sharie was born. Now, you keep on hugging and kissing her and saying "I LOVE YOU" or "LOVE KO TO!"
My son, now that you're a Kuya already, may you always love, care and protect your sister. I LOVE YOU BOTH!
Gian Paolo - 4 1/2 years old
Shanead - 2 months old
Materials used: BG Boxer PPS

New Layouts and Projects for 2009!
It took me a couple of months to start scrapping again after I gave birth. Holding clinics and taking care of the new baby really took a toll on my energy level so that I didn't have the time and the energy to scrap! But the upside of this is I had lots of bonding time with baby Sharie (Shanead's nickname courtesy of ninang ISSA which my husband liked!).
It was only by the 2nd week of January that I made my first LO of Baby Sharie. It's hard pala to scrap again pag natigil ka na ng matagal! I feel like I don't know how to do it na. After 2 days of playing around with the pics and PPS, here's what I came out.
After this lo, I decided to push thru with the desk calendars that I was suppose to give to my doctor friends last christmas and became a Chinese New Year gift instead. all in all I made five of them in one week. Achievement na yun diba?
By the 3rd week, No new layout still. Good thing we had our crop session last Jan 24 and boy did it get my creative juices flowing. In one week I was able to make 4 new layouts aside from the hatty holidays LO we made during our crop. Yipee! I really Had fun creating them that I can't resist sharing them with you. I decided to finish first my 2008 Christmas LOS. Here they are:
For the above layouts I used old stash of BG and cosmo cricket CS and PPS.
For this LO i used my old fancy pants pps. Glad to finally use pink papers!
