Sweet Girl - Let's Get Shabby Challenge 16!

Ever since I gave birth to my DD I kind of experimented on doing shabby chic layouts and totally loved it! So when I found this new site called LET'S GET SHABBY I was amazed by the beautiful work of their DT's! And they have challenges Too! So I thought I'd give it a try....

Challenge 16 is first to choose one of two kitchens then use 3 of the colors in that kitchen as the dominant colors in the layout and also you have to use 1 fabric and 2 diecut shapes. I chose Kitchen 2 and here's what I came up with! TFL!

Kitchen No. 2

Chose the colors light pink, Dark Pink and green as my dominant colors for this page. Did some stamping too. I recently bought this Dusty Attic Laser chicken wire chipboard and I didn't want to use it only for 1 layout. So what I did was I used it as a stamp using brown paint. And it turned out great! LOL! For the diecut shapes, I used 2 sizes of butteflies.

For the fabric, I first sprayed it with pink shimmerz mist then placed twigs, flowers and stamen at the center and rolled it up forming a bouquet. This by the way was inspired by one tutorial that Master Iris Babao Uy did! Thanks Iris!

Here are some close ups of my layout!

Materials used:
Papers- Shabby Green Door for the base and my scraps from Prima, Websters Pages, green CS
Flowers- Prima
Daisy D's Journaling cards
Chipboards- All about Scrapbooking, Dusty attic (as stamp)
Local lace ribbon and fabric

Like a Child in a Candy Store!

I had a chance to visit Singapore for a few days! And of course the scrapper in me was dying to be able to visit MADE WITH LOVE!(MWL) It's a famous scrapbooking store in Singapore! And Boy was I in Luck! My hotel was just beside Plaza Singapura where MWL is located. So after our tour each day, I was there for three straight nights! Yummy Goodies! Good thing during my last night there, they displayed their new arrivals! I drooled over the new Cha releases of Webster's Pages! Yummy!

NEW BOOTS - SEPTEMBER 21 REVEAL

Its reveal time once again at Sketchabilities! This new sketch by Karan Gerber is simply perfect for the pictures that I have had developed for quite some time but didn't get the chance to scrap. It's my DD once again, this time showing off her new dress but most specially her Boots! If I'm a scrapaholic then she's a "shoeholic"! She's less than two years old but she's particular already with the shoes that she wants to wear. While at the mall trying to get shoes for her, she wont try anything I chose! But when she saw these WHITE BOOTS, she was so in a hurry to try them on and we could not take it off already. She wore them until we arrived home! LOL! So I guess this now officially makes it her favorite! LOL!

Here's my layout and the sketch:
