New Layouts!

I made A couple of layouts lately but I have been having problems uploading the images to my blog. So after several days of trying I decided to present it as a slide show.

The first two layouts I made were gifts to two of Gian's classmates at Rainbow school, Allyson and Isabella. They're such pretty girls that I could help making a layout for them.

Next, I made a layout for Khei at the EB at Lasting Impression. I just Love the AL superstar PPS that I also made a similar LO for my son Gian.

I also made a layout for my niece stacey and Thanks to Cabbie, I was able to buy the Dove of the East-Japan PPS na bagay na bagay for my pics in my recent trip to Tokyo. Yun nga lang Isa pa lang nagawa ko. The other layouts were for scrapbytes march chllenge and my entry for scrappinkids. Hope you liked it! TFL!

2nd LBS Easter Egg Hunt!

Last Easter Sunday, the LB Scrapaholics had our 2nd easter egg hunt and at the same time sort of a family day so the rest of our family can get to know each other. It was a very memorable occasion because the kids really enjoyed looking for easter eggs and of course the prizes that they got! Also our husbands started to bond and they had fun too helping the kids look for eggs and taking pictures. On that day, we also celebrated Dana(timi's daughter) and Dodo's (Issa's Hubby)birthday. We really had fun. And because its such a hit, we're thinking of making this a yearly event! Its really heartwarming to see that not only us ladies are getting close with each other but even our kids and husbands are bonding and becoming friends. Let me share with you some of the pictures I took!

Our Husbands or shall we now call them LB Scrapaholics- Dad edition!

February Projects

February was a busy month for me at the clinic, good thing I was able to make a couple of projects. Aside from my 3 autumn leaves cards, I finished also 1 LO, 5 additional cards and 3 altered clocks to be exact! Okay na rin diba?

First I'd like to show you my websters Pages entry. I had a difficult time finishing this LO because the paper was already beautiful and I didn't want to alter the design so much. Well, i hope you like my entry.

Next, are the cards I made for the fundraiser for the carmelite nuns. I really had fun making them and also it gave me the opportunity to put to good use some of my scraps and unused 8 x 8 Daisy D's papers.

Next I'd like to show you the 3 altered clocks I made for my mother and my 2 siblings in Cebu.

I won!

I just couldn't believe it when Helga called me up last Saturday to tell me the good news that I won Scrapbooks Hawaii's Autumn Leaves Card Challenge! Ang Masaklap pa I was holding clinic at that time kaya di ako makareact ng todo. (Syempre Prim and proper ang doctor hehehe!). But seriously the first  thought that came on my mind was "baka ako lang ang nagsubmit!" Hehehe!

Anyway, I'm so thrilled with this win because I was so busy the past 2 weeks and I
thought I wouldn't be able to join the challenges. Sa sobrang gusto ko makasali, I made this card at the hotel where I was attending a convention. I was all alone in
my room and I couldn't sleep. So I decided to make the cards instead. I finished it at 2am!Sulit naman pala yung pagpuyat ko.

Here are my entries!

Card No. 1: Birthday card Purse for Mom

For this card I folded and cut out a cardstock in the shape of a purse. To the backside of the purse I adhered a patterned paper (Tres Swirls). Then I cut a semi circle from the same paper and adhered it to the front side of the card. On the lower portion I embellished using the Autumn Leaves Flourishes stamp and applied glitter glue. After which I adhered small prima flowers, die cut word Mom and button. And for the final touch, I made a strap for the card purse using stringed pearl and pink beads.

Materials used: Rhonna Farrer Tres Swirls paper, Autumn Leaves Flourishes V:1 acrylic stamp, Basic Grey Urban Couture-Sateen, Daisy D Diecut (Mom), Prima Flowers, Button, Glitter Glue, Bling, Ric-rac ribbon, Colorbox chalk (Chestnut roan).

Card No. 2: Valentine Card

Materials Used: Autumn leaves Superstar:Legend paper, Red Bazill Cardstock, Autumn Leaves Fourishes V:1 Acrylic stamp, Heart shape felt fabric, Daisy D’s Die cut (I Love You), Fiskar’s border Punch (heart), brown ink.

Card No. 3: Thank you Card

For this card I first stamped on white cardstock using 3 different stamps to form swirls then I cut openings and accented using black Sakura aqualip pen. Then I attached under the white cardstock a patterned paper whose edges were trimmed using fiskar’s Embossing Border punch (dandy doodles). To embellish I added prima flowers on the edges.

Materials Used: Autumn Leaves Acrylic Stamps- Big Swirls, Flourishes V:1, Swirl Version 1, white cardstock, K & Co. Patchwork Embossed Paper, Fiskars Embossing border punch, Scenic Route diecut (Thank you), Prima flowers, Brads, sakura black Aqualip pen.

Thank you Marissa for coming up with this challenge. Because of this I was able to appreciate the art of card making. To the Judges, thank you also appreciating and acknowledging my work.

Created with Love

When Sahrie announced its noteworthy challenge with the theme "Someone or Something you love", I knew right away what pictures I wanted to scrap. And when I finished these two entries, I was so happy with it. Lots of love was really poured into it!

But it will never stop me from loving you.

I'm Scrapping Again!

Happy New Year Everyone!

It feels great to be scrapping again!    I was soooo busy during the  holidays kaya not much output for the month of December. I was able to make two layouts only. The first one I did was a Christmas gift for a dear friend, Dra. Agnes Lantican who's 76 years old which I scraplifted from an Iris Babao  page. (hope you don't mind Iris). The second is a wedding layout I scraplifted from the ACOT gallery. Thanks for the inspiration ladies!

Here are my year ender pages.

Then after a lull of about 3 weeks, I started scrapping only last weekend. Had to make one coz
It was my turn to make the monthly 30 minute article for scrapbytes. Won't be able to post it yet here in my blog, but watch for it in the Feb scrapbytes issue of Scrappinmoms.
But after making the article and LO, I was sooo in the mood to scrap that I was able to make 4 new Christmas pages! Yipee! Hope you like them! TFL!
