HOUSE ARREST!

As I have mentioned in my last post, I have been on house arrest for more than a week. But being the kind of person I am, Di ko talaga kaya to just lie down the whole day. Maybe during the first two days okay lang but after that I get restless and bored. So a few hours a day I try to scrap. Here are my creations.

Last June 7 Sat, the LB Scrapaholics had a mini-EB at Chiqui's house. And since I could not attend, I decided to make one at home.

For this Layout I used my prima dude papers which I just love. Decided also to do some embossing coz it's been a while since I last used my embossing powders. Sayang naman diba?

Next, I used my newly bought BG Boxer collection to make a layout for ScrappinKids June Challenge which is to submit a Lo about bonding between father and child.I did some doodling and stamping too. This time I used my never been used Technique Tuesday "Whipsy Gig" stamps. I bought it ages ago and never got to try it. At least something good is coming out of this house arrest thing! LOL! Nabulatlat ko tuloy stash ko.

Special thanks to Iris again for the inspiration. This layout is a lift from her "Quiet Moments" LO. Naku Iris, Mukhang pinaglilihian kita! Just Loving your work and looks like I will be scraplifting your other creations pa in the future!Hope you don't mind.

My third Lo is for Busy Bee's First FP challenge. I used FP- About a Boy PPS. For this challenge We are supposed to include the word First or 1st in our title. Here's my entry.

Hidden Journaling:

Dearest Gian,

My son, the day I first saw your face was the happiest day of my life!
Being childless for eight years was quite a struggle for me.
But through endless nights of praying to our Lord, he finally granted my wish and gave me my life’s one miracle and that is you Gian Paolo.

Just like the lyrics of the song,
“The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and stars were the gifts you gave to the dark and the empty skies.”

I could not help the tears of joy to flow down on my face watching you when they laid you on my chest.
You had the most adorable face a mother could wish for.
Now I know my life is complete!

Gian Paolo, one hour old.

Lastly, this LO was made dahil kating-kati lang kamay ko to scrap! LOL! I used the Sultry paper from Basic Grey. Since puno na ng design yung paper, all I did was mat my picture with plain CS then put some flowers and gem brads. Then I added the maya road Bird and branch Chipboard. Used my Crackle paint again on the branch to give it an aged look and through Liezl's Suggestion, I sand the edges of the bird. Thanks Liezl!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

On sunday, June 15, 2008, is Father's day! And as our simple way to greet my dearest husband, I made this simple Father's day Card for him. And my son Gian helped too!

I've been on house arrest for a week now due to spotting again and so I'm not allowed to do any strenuous activities that would stress me physically and emotionally. Think happy thoughts lang daw according to my OB. Buti na lang scrapping makes me happy kaya I was able to make this card. I would have loved to do some cooking too so we can have a special lunch or dinner pero baka mapagod lang ako nun especially its my helps and yaya's day off on sunday so looks like hubby is stuck with takeout food and this card. Bawi na lang ako next year! Well Here's the card.

For this card I finally was able to use my Inque Boutique Nightingale stamps then embossed it with silver embossing powder. For the "DAD" Chipboards, I first painted it with blue MM Paint then applied my straw colored crackle paint. But I think maybe I applied too much crackle paint kasi I didn't get the desired cracks I wanted that would show the blue paint or baka mali ang paglagay ko. Anyway once it was dry, I applied Silver paint to match my motiff of blue and silver.

Lastly, for the journaling inside the card, here's where my son Gian helped. He was the one who wrote "happy father's Day!" Follow the dots pa nga lang.Hehehe! But he still makes me proud!

here's a lovely poem by Carmen Strawn that I would like to dedicate to all the father's on their special day!

A Father's Love

Is a Warm Embrace,
Or a Quick Hug
A Glowing Smile, and Your Wit and Wisdom...

A Fathers Love is a Walk in the Park
On a Hot Summer Day
A Drive in the Car, Down that Windy dirt Road

A Fathers Love is in the Poem Written
To 'A Friend or Daughter,'
In the Special Words That Come Only From a Father...

A Fathers Love is in Fun Times Together
Camping under the Trees
Enjoying a picnic, and Walking through the Leaves...

A Fathers Love is Faith in His Family
High Hopes and Dreams, And Pleasure in Doing
'What Ever It Takes'...

A Fathers Love is a Kiss on the Cheek
Or a Friendly Hand Shake
My Idol for Life, 'I Will Treasure Dearly'...

Well, to you my dearest Ryan and to my Dad, brother, Brothers in law and to all the Fathers out there, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL OF YOU!

Diba You Love Me Won!

Yippee! I was so happy when I received an email from Wati Of ScrappinKids informing me that my entry to their Darnest May Challenge was the residence designer favorite of the Month! Woohoo! To all who greeted me, thank you very much and to ScrappinKids thank you for coming up with these challenges. I loved joining them! Here's the Layout again!

I had fun doing this layout coz I got the chance to do some stamping. Here I used an old rubber placemat for stamping using MM paint. For the chipboard title, I painted it then stamped using french script and then applied ranger glossy accents. I also used the flowers from the prima bitty bag I got during the scrapfest. TFL!
